What do you do when the road of life turns unexpectedly and you find yourself not enthused or even horrified about awaits you down the road.
I find my self, so many times, wanting to stop, or turn back and go the other way. I think that is a natural inclination. We all want the journey to take us down a path free of twists and turns. But that is not what our roadway consists of. Life is full of twists and turns. Some good and some bad.
The question is: What do you do when it does turn? I think we have to realize, that if we are believers, then we have someone...other than ourselves...in the driver's seat. We soon forget that He already knows the course, and the turn we are experiencing is no surprise to Him. We need to let Him steer us to the destination He has already planned for us. Knowing and trusting that He will get us there safely.
Our Driver is a seasoned helmsman and has a perfect track record of getting people where they need to go. Why then should I be fearful of what is ahead of me...that turn or pothole in the road? I shouldn't be and neither should you.
God's word says in Jeremiah 29..."for I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord..." How can you go wrong traveling with someone so planned and prepared. He already knows the destination, the route, the twists and turns, and even how and when the trip will be completed.
Trust Him today in the "turns of the road" you are experiencing. He will get you to your destination safely.
Enjoying Life Today!
