It's A Choice!

I get so tired of hearing about how hard it is to serve the Lord. We in the Christian world, make it so difficult for people to live for God. But I think, at least for me, it is pretty simple. It is all about choice. It is like any close relationship you may have with a friend or spouse. That relationship is a choice on your part and their part.

Well, we already know that God has chosen to have relationship with us. That is the whole gospel in a nutshell. The question is....what will we choose. I choose everyday to have a relationship with my wife. I choose to love her, honor and be there for her. I choose to confess my faults to her and communicate with her. I must pursue a relationship with my wife each and every day. If I don't....the relationship will cease to thrive.

The main problem I see is that we make the wrong choices. Josh 24:15 says "...choose you this day whom you will serve.....but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

A song penned by Al Denson many years ago still rings in my heart each day....

I choose to follow, I choose to let You lead

Of all the things that I could ever do

There has never been a song more true and honest in the life of a follower of Christ. It is the best choice I have ever made. So, I challenge you today.....choose to pursue and follow God with all of your heart. Not just today, but every day.
