Mother's Day

Well it's that time of year again to celebrate the hearts and lives of mothers all over the world. I consider myself to be profoundly blessed beyond measure to have the mother that I have.
Joy Holley has been a steadfast voice of love and hope in my life. I cannot remember a time she has not been there for me...and I have always been able to count on her to pray for me. She has loved me unconditionally and worked to give me the very best a mother could give...herself!
I am the man that am because she helped to lay a solid foundation of God and His word in my life. I remember every week night at the house when I was growing up, we would meet together in my parents' bedroom. Mom would then read a chapter or two from the Bible and then we would kneel down by the bed and pray together as a family. That is how I learned to pray. What times we had and what stories I learned from the scriptures.
No doubt if I could see into my parents bedroom at night time...I would still find mom and dad kneeling down by their bed each night, praying for their sons, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren and great grandchildren each by name.
What a heritage I have been given! I love her, honor her and respect more than I will ever be able to explain. She is truly a Proverbs 31 woman.
Thanks mom for all you have given to me...I love you!
I am so blessed!
Facing Forward,
Stan
