What can you do today that might encourage someone today? The book of Colossians urges us to "spur one another on to greater works"(paraphrase). So much of what we do is about us. We work for, play for, and do so many other things for ourselvs. Yet, if we look at the life of Jesus, we find that He was all about people. When He and His disciples got out of the boat on one occasion, the scripture says that Jesus looked at the crowd...and had "compassion" on them. In other words, Jesus was moved by someone other than Himself. My prayer today is that you and I be moved to do something for someone other than ourselves. Speak a word of encouragement to someone today. Smile at someone intentionally and affirm that individual. Who knows, God may use your act of kindness...your concern for someone other than yourself, to change a life today. Enjoying life today...Stan.
