Praise Him

It is so easy to hurry through our day and forget one of the most important things in our walk with God...and that's Praise.

You like to hear words of encourage and love from your spouse and kids, don't you? Sure you do. I love to hear my wife tell me that she loves me or that I did a job good. Or when my kids tell me that they are proud of me. It makes me swell with pride and causes me to want to do more.

I have to believe that God feels much the same way...in that He loves to hear our praises. He loves to listen to us as we talk about Him and share what He has done for us. I tend to think it makes Him want to do even more, although, I know He has already done everything for us.

But you get what I'm saying. A father wants to hear good things from his children. The same with our Heavenly Father. We need to take the time to say "You are great, God", "I love you Lord", "I praise you Father". It only takes a thought, a word, one second out of your day.
And it is what we are encouraged to do in Psalm 150...."let everything that hath breath....praise the Lord"!

Will you purpose to do that right now....today....before you lay your head down tonight.

He's waiting with bended ear.....
